Download old Opera versions

I’ve been trying to keep my own archive of Opera versions and I thought others might want to either test an older version or archive them as well. I also archived snapshots for a long time, but I had hard drive failure problems a while back and lost the archive. If I can get them back then I will add them as well.

Also, if you have any official releases for Windows or Macintosh that I don’t have listed below then please contact me via email and send them to me anyway that you can! You can find my contact information on the “About” page which is linked to at the top of this page.

The Linux downloads will not be regularly maintained and instead only updated for unique builds. The time and space needed to keep an updated list for Linux is far more than I’m willing to use (with all of the different versions of linux and platforms and architectures – x86 vs. x64). Sorry for any inconvenience and I hope you understand. 😉

Dusty Chrome

My Opera Skins:
Dusty Chrome (a.k.a. Opera Google Chrome Dust)

Compatibility: Opera 9.5+
Last Updated: 2009-04-01 @ 20:00
Latest Version: v1.05Download

This skin is just the Google Chrome skin with a few replaced images and the rest desaturated so it matches more closely to the Dust theme in Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.

I may rename it in the future to “Dusty Chrome”. Name change with v1.02 to Dusty Chrome. 😉

Click the images below to see a larger version.

  • 2008-10-06
  • This is the initial version.

  • 2008-10-08
  • Updated checkboxes with those used in Google Chrome and applied desaturation.
  • Desaturated radio buttons that were already there.
  • Desaturated bookmark buttons that were already there.

  • 2008-12-12
  • Updated checkboxes with those used in the Dust theme instead of regular Google Chrome checkboxes.
  • Updated radio buttons to those used in the Dust theme.
  • Updated the scrollbar to match scrollbars found in the Dust theme.
  • Updated icons and other various images with those found in the Opera 10 Alpha standard skin. Updated icons were mostly for composing html email, however there were a few other new ones.
  • Fixed a bug that was introduced with Opera 10 Alpha 1 and the Chrome style tabs.
  • Cleaned up appearance of tabs and new tab icon on pagebar.
  • Cleaned up skin.ini code a little.
  • Updated group_closed.png and group_open.png to match similar icons found in the Dust theme.
  • Officially titled this skin as “Dusty Chrome”.

  • 2009-01-08
  • Replaced pagebar.png background image with one that I worked on a short while back (last year for v1.06 of Standard Dust 😉 ) so that the skin matches the latest release of the Dust theme’s title bar color scheme. I will work a little more in the future to perfect it even more.

  • 2009-01-24
  • Set “Fallback foreground = 1” and “Fallback background = 1” after being contacted by Opera about them cleaning up and improving their skin selection.

  • 2009-04-01
  • Retouched the scrollbars and pagebar background to match the ones found in the Ubuntu 9.04 Dust theme. Link Parser

Update (2009-03-19): has started charging for it’s ervice, so I’m now marking this script as unmaintained. Feel free to continue using this script as long as it works with If it fails in the future I will not be updating the script, but you are free to make any changes you wish without questioning me.

Status: Unmaintained

Open the Link Parser

Description: Link Parser is a simple and short html+javascript file that I wrote to parse links for the “Interesting Feeds” that I post in my bbPress forum.

Using it requires a little manual work, but this tool cuts the majority of the work out. Once you have a stash of links saved at, you can copy and paste the source code from each page into this tool and click parse. Parsing will throw the title and link out into the second text box.

The format that is expelled is as follows:

Title 1
Link 1
Title 2
Link 2

I then use this output by posting it in my bbPress forum to archive and keep a public list of all of the news feeds that I subscribe to, read and found interesting. I also do this for archival purposes such as finding an article later. 😉

<title>ReadBag Link Parser</title>
<script type=”text/javascript”>
function parse() {
var source=document.getElementById(‘source’).value;
var output=””;
var count=0;

while (source.indexOf(“SHARETHIS.addEntry({title:'”) > -1) {
output+=source.substr(0,source.indexOf(“‘}, {button:”))+”\n”;
source=source.substr(source.indexOf(“‘}, {button:”));

document.getElementById(‘count’).innerHTML=”Links Parsed: “+count;
<textarea id=”source” cols=”150″ rows=”20″></textarea><br />
<textarea id=”output” cols=”150″ rows=”20″></textarea><br />
<input type=”button” value=”Parse” onclick=”parse();”><br />
<div id=”count”>Links Parsed:</div>
