How to setup User JavaScript (UserJS) in Opera
This guide will walk you through the steps of setting up User JavaScript (UserJS) and should only take a minute or two.
- Create a folder on your computer to save the User JavaScript files in. If you’re using Windows then you might consider creating a folder in your My Documents called UserJS.
- Back in Opera, open the Preferences window by pressing Ctrl+F12 or by going to Tools->Preferences…->Advanced->Content->JavaScript Options….
- Once there, click the choose… button at the bottom of the dialog and browse to the folder that you created to store the User JavaScript files in. Click OK once the folder has been selected.
- Now click OK to save your changes.
A restart is not required for setting this option or for new User JavaScript files. New User JavaScript files will be loaded and recognized on the next page load. Refreshing a currently open page will load new User JavaScript files to be used in the page if necessary.
You are now ready to add and save any User JavaScript files that you want!
